Bilbao: The Guggenheim Museum

Bilbao, Spain: Local Airport designed by Calatrava : definitely cool for something local :)

Since I’m in Spain, why not visit one of the most admired works of Contemporary Architecture built to date. What else?  The Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank Gehry. Hi Frank, if ever one day you’ll be able to visit my blog… I am a fan!

Obviously, a filter is one of the things I need in taking photos of landscapes…oh well, my fingers would be enough for now :P

And ofcourse let us not forget how the amazing Interiors turned out :)

guess i wasnt using the proper lens but the good thing is there’s the mini me version…

This was when I got scolded by one of the Art Curators “Madamme! Madamme! No Photography!”

I’m so sorry…I just couldn’t help it :( These are the works of Anish Kapoor

Finally, the walk about the area… and a self portrait…the thing about traveling light – i definitely need a tripod!

coz i think i look horrible! ahahahah!

Hope you enjoyed it. Til next time :)

It was another business trip to KL.  I couldn’t help my mind and heart battle between questions and emotions. So I said a little prayer and glanced outside my window seat and realized how promising life is.

What is it about these clouds that make people stop and get mesmerized. Is it the proof that its random form, shape and uniqueness present a calming effect to a person no matter what the circumstances are. This was the first time I have taken a snapshot of a rainbow, to me I was more than lucky, it was my closest encounter.

When you think and feel that things are going against your expectations, just stop and reflect. Look afar, from a distance, away from the scene. And then you’ll realize that…these may be a window of opportunity to discover new things and appreciate what we’ve taken for granted.

FOCUS.ing Batam

It was a long weekend and a holiday in Singapore…decided to take a short trip break to Batam. A quick getaway from the city’s stressful deadlines and expectations was all I needed. Plus some friends are going to Bintan and the rest of my family to Phuket. The place called Batam Spa (quite catchy huh?) was the nearest most convenient place for an unplanned holiday. Thanks to Gladys and Abs for the recommendations. I had it organized at the very last minute though, sacrificed things just to get things done. Whew! that was close.

Traveling Light: So, I brought along with me, my one and only faithful baby-Nikon D90 and a Nikon 50mm f/1.8D (given by Abs 10 months ago). 10 months…wow! That is kind of too long for one to discover it’s talents and capabilities. I’ve had it for so long but how could I only appreciate what it can do TODAY. My answer: FOCUSing (the short term for organizing your thoughts and realizing your priorities). The same reality goes to the things we take for granted around us everyday. Like for example one of God’s creations, a bee’s best friend, google tells me it falls in the family of azaleas, please do correct me if i am wrong :) Its rich vibrant colors tempts you to pluck it and bring it home as a reward. Selfish isn’t it?

Same goes with the bark of a tree, the river stones and the asphalt which were imported from Kazakhstan or Timbuktu just for you to stepped on or run over each day to swallow all the dirt and dusts of life. This blog makes me feel too emotional heehee :P

I used to view things from afar, out of the box, to work around the parameter. But sometimes focusing unto the details makes you appreciate and realize how the big picture was made in the first place.

My shooting range mostly for this set was quite low…more of a worm’s eye view. Sometimes you just gotta be humble enough to get a good view of what’s above.

…All i ever prayed for that day was a good weather and a guarantee of the worlds best pampering from the caring hands of Indonesia. (It sounded like James Morrison’s please don’t stop the rain and a caption behind one of my massage oils, never thought it would be a good combination though).

Til next time. Good monday morning. 6.21am
